Union Public Service Commission

UPSC invites application on prescribed forms by 14th Dec 2006 (21st Dec 2006 for the candidates from far-flung areas) for various posts in various Government of India Ministries and Departments in the prescribed format. The post are :

1. Twenty-one Junior Time Scale / Assistant Works Managers (Prob.) (Chemical Engineers) in Department of Defence Production, Ordnance Factory Board, Indian Factories Service, Defence Ministry. Pay Scale: Rs. 8000-13500, Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering/Technology or equivalent from a recognised university. Age: 30 yrs.
2. Two Assistant Professors (Endocrinology) at JIPMER, Pondicherry, Department of Health, Specialist Grade-II of CHS (Teaching Specialist Sub-Cadre) in Health & Family Welfare Ministry. Pay Scale: Rs. 10000-15200 + NPA, Qualification: (i) Recognised Medical Qualification (ii) Post Graduate Degree in concerned super-speciality i.e. D.M.(Endocrinology) or equivalent.
3. Three Assistant Professors (Cardiology) at JIPMER, Pondicherry, Department of Health, Specialist Grade-II of CHS (Teaching Specialist Sub-Cadre) in Health & Family Welfare Ministry. Pay Scale: Rs. 10000-15200 + NPA, Qualification: (i) Recognised Medical Qualification (ii) Post Graduate Degree in concerned super-speciality i.e. D.M.(Cardiology) or equivalent.
4. One Assistant Professors (Paediatric Surgery) at JIPMER, Pondicherry, Department of Health, Specialist Grade-II of CHS (Teaching Specialist Sub-Cadre) in Health & Family Welfare Ministry. Pay Scale: Rs. 10000-15200 + NPA, Qualification: (i) Recognised Medical Qualification (ii) Post Graduate Degree in concerned super-speciality i.e. M.Ch.(Paediatric Surgery) or equivalent.
5. Two Assistant Professors (Public Health) at AIIH&PH, Kolkata, Department of Health, Specialist Grade-II of CHS (Teaching Specialist Sub-Cadre) in Health & Family Welfare Ministry. Pay Scale: Rs. 10000-15200 + NPA, Qualification: (i) Recognised Medical Qualification (ii) Post Graduate Degree in concerned super-speciality i.e. MD(Social and Preventing Medicine) MD (Community Medicine) or P.H. or any other equivalent degree.
6. One Assistant Legislative Counsel (Marathi) in the Official Language Wing, Legislative Department, Law and Justice Ministry Pay Scale: Rs. 10000-15200, Qualification: (i) Master's Degree in Law (LLM) from a recognised university or equivalent degree.
7. One Superintendent (Legal), Department of Legal Affairs, Law and Justice Ministry Pay Scale : 7500-12000, Qualificationtion: Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognised university or equivalent
8. One Assistant Director, Gr. II (Production and Development) now Redesignated as Assistant Director Grade-II (Technical) in the Office of the Textile Commissioner Textile Ministry Pay Scale: 6500-10500, Qualificationtion: Degree in Textile Manufacture / Textile Technology from a recognised university or equivalent
9. One Professor in Mechanical Engineering (Technical) for B.Tech.(Part-Time) programme in Delhi College of Engineering, Govt. of NCT of Delhi Pay Scale: 16400-22400, Qualification: PhD Degree with a first-class degree at Bachelor's or Master's level in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent
