Applications are invited from male Indian Citizens for appointment to Group-‘C’ post of Junior Engineer (Electrical and Civil), Junior Grade/Sub Inspector in the Border Security Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India in the pay scale of Rs. 5500-175-9000 

VACANCIES:- The total vacancies as per details are given below:-

• Junior Engineer ( CIVIL ): 08 posts
• Junior Engineer (Elect) : 07 posts

AGE LIMIT:-

1. The candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not be over 25 years as on 01/12/2006 (i.e. not born earlier than 01.12.1988 and not later than 01.12.1981 )
2. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category candidates.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:-
Three years diploma in Civil/ Electrical Engineering from a recognised Institute by Central/State Govt.

PHYSICAL STANDARD:-

• Height - 165 Cms relaxable by 5 Cms for hill tribes and Adivasis.
• Chest - 76 Cms (unexpanded) and 81 Cms (expanded). Relaxable by 2 Cms for candidates below 20 years of age.
• Weight - Corresponding to Height.

HOW TO APPLY:-

Applications duly filled up on the format given in this advertisement be sent to THE COMMANDANT (SSB), HQ DG BSF, BLOCK NO. 10 CGO COMPLEX, LODHI ROAD, NEW DELHI-110003 on or before 31.12.2006 and for the candidates from far-flung areas before 15.01.2007 duly attached with attested copies of certificates in proof of age, education qualification, SC/ST/OBC and other tribe/hill areas (domicile), wherever applicable, as well as a bank draft/postal order for Rs. 50/- as examination fee to be drawn in favour of Commandant (Coord) payable at SBI service branch New Delhi Code No. 7687. SC/ST and Departmental candidates are not required to remit the examination fee. Three recent passport size photographs duly attested by a Gazette Officer/Principal of the School last passed out should also be attached to the application. One each photograph to be affixed on the application form and admit card and the third one to be kept in record. Two self-addressed envelopes of size of 25x12 Cms stamped worth Rs. 27/- each should also be attached with the application form. The envelope containing application must be super-scribed in bold letters as ‘ APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL AND CIVIL) JUNIOR GRADE/SUB INSPECTOR.'
