National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML), a constituent unit of CSIR, requires young and bright candidates in the area of metallurgy/ materials science/ chemical/ mineral/ mechanical/ physicas/ chemistry/ biotechnology for following positions in its scientific cadre :

• Scientist Gr.IV(1) (Phys. Met./ Phys. Sc & Engg. Sc.) : 05 posts (ST :01,OBC:02,GEN:02)
• Pay Scale : Rs.8000-275-13500
• Age : Not exceeding 35 years
• Qualification : 1^st Class B.E./B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Met. Engg/ Mech. Engg/ Chem. Engg. Or M.E./M.Tech or Ph.D or equivalent qualification in Met. Engg/ Mech. Engg/ Materials Engg/ Chem Engg.
• Desirable Qualification: 1^st class B.E./B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Mech. Engg with outstanding academic record and 2 yrs. relevant experience. Or M.E./ M.Tech / Ph.D in Met. Engg/ Mat Engg/ Mech. Engg/ Chem Engg.(With 1^st class B.E./B.Tech).

Engg Or equivalent qualification in Pyro-/ hydro-metallurgy (with 1^st class B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc.) Or Ph.D in Chem. Engg./Mech. Engg./Minerals Engg. in the area relevant to the job description (with 1^st class B.E./B.Tech)
• Scientist Gr.IV(3) (Phys. Met./ Phys. Sc & Engg. Sc.) : 05 posts (ST :01,OBC:02,GEN:02)
• Pay Scale : Rs.12000-375-16500
• Age : Not exceeding 40 years
• Qualification : 1^st Class B.E./B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Met. Engg. with 7 years relevant experience Or M.E./M.Tech or equivalent qualification in Met. Engg. with 5 years relevant experience. Or Ph.D in Met. Engg. with 3 years relevant experience.
• Desirable Qualification: Ph.D in Met. Engg.(Pysical Met./Mech.Met) with 1^st class B.E./B.Tech in Met.Engg and 3 yrs relevant experience.

Relaxation in age limit maximum upto 5 years and 3 years in respect of SC/ST and OBC candidates respectively.
