INDIAN COAST GUARDApplications are invited from male candidates to join as Assistant Commandant in General Duty, General Duty (Pilot) and Technical Branches for 01/2008 batch
The Indian Coast Guard, an armed force of the Union, offers a challanging and inspiring career as Group 'A' Gazetted Offices in the pay scale of Rs.8000-13500. Applications are invited from Indian Citizens for the following posts:
- Assistant Commandant (General Duty and General Duty - Pilot) - 40 posts (SC-06,ST-03,OBC-11,Gen-20)
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree in any discipline of a recognised university with Mathematics and Physics subjects upto 12th Std. For pilot these subjects upto the Graduation level.
- Age : Born between 01 July 83 and 30 june 87. For pilot - between 01 July 81 and 30 June 89
- Assistant Commandant (Technical) - 10 posts (SC-02,ST-01,OBC-03,Gen-04)
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Naval Architechture/ Marine/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Tele-communications and Electronics/ Design/ Production/ Aeronautical/ Control Engineering or equivalent qualificiaiton by institute recognised by AIIE or Marine Engeering graduates of IMET, Kolkata OR Certificate of Competency as 1st class Engineer of Motorship or other similiar certificates from Min. of surface Transport, Govt. of India OR Certificate of final exam of the college of Marine engineering under the Department of surface transport, Govt. of India OR have passed section 'A' & 'B' of Institute of Engineers examination in the listed disciplines above.
- Age : Born between 01 July 78 and 30 june 87
The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years of OBC candidates.
Last date of receipt of Applications is 16th July 2007. (For far-flung areas, the last date is 20/07/2007)
