Indian Institute of Geomagnetism (IIGM) is a premier research institute having strong research programmes in all aspects of Geomagnetism viz. Observatory and Data Analysis, Upper Atmospheric Sciences and Solid Earth Geomagnetism. The Institute provides excellent infrastructural facilities and good career prospects.

Applications are invited from bright, young and motivated candidates for the following vacancies :

1. Technical Officer II : 2 Posts (S-1, OBC-1), Pay Scale : Rs. 8000-275-13500, Qualification : (i) First or high second class Masters Degree in Physics/Electronics or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics engineering ii) 4 years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory/Institute/University.
2. Technical Officer I : 1 post (OBC) , Pay Scale : Rs. 6500-200-10500, Qualification : (i)First or high second class M.Sc. in Physics/ Maths/ Geophysics/ Electronics ii) 2 years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory/ Institute/ University
3. Senior Technical Assistant : 1 Post (ST), Pay Scale : Rs. 5500-175-9000/-, Qualification : First or high second class M.Sc. in Physics/ Geophysics/ Geology or B.E. in Electronics / Instrumentation
4. Technical Assistant : 1 Post (OBC), Pay Scale : Rs. 4500-125-7000/-, Qualification : First or high second class B.Sc. in Physics/ Maths/ Electronics
