Union Public Service Commission

UPSC invites application on prescribed forms by 13th September 2007 (20th September 2007 for the candidates from far flung areas) for various posts in various Government of India Ministries and Departments in the prescribed format. The post are :

1. One Scientist - SB (ND) (OBC) in the National Test House, Department of Consumer Affairs, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 8000-13500/-, Qualification: Master's Degree in Physics (Pure/Applied) or Degree in Mechanical/ Metallurgical/ Electrical/ Engineering from a recognised University/ or equivalent, Experience : 3 years practical experience in non-destructive / Metallographic techniques as employed in testing/evaluation/failure investigation of materials, Age : 38 years
2. Two Senior Research Assistants (OBC-1) in the Forward Markets Commission, Mumbai, Department of Consumer Affairs, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs.6500-1050/-, Qualification : Master's Degree in Economics/Commerce/Statistics of a recognised University or equivalent OR Degree in Economics/ Commerce/ Statistics with degree in Law of a recognised university or equivalent OR a qualification recognised for enrolment in the register of members of the ICAI or equivalent and ii) Possessing two years experience in collection, compilation, analysis and interpretation of statistical data., Age : 30 years
3. One Lecturer (Chinese) in School of Foreign Language in Defence Ministry (SC), Pay Scale : Rs. 8000-13500/-, Qualification: Master's Degree in the Chinese language from a recognised University or equivalent., Age : 40 years
4. One Assistant Professor (Endocrinology) JIPMER, Puducherry Department of Health, Specialist Gr-II of Central Health Service in the Teaching Specialist Sub-Cadres, Health and Family Welfare Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 10000-15200/-, Qualification: A recognised Medical qualification (ii) Post-Graduate degree degree qualification in the speciality i.e. D.M. (Endocrinology) or equivalent. ii) 3 years teaching experience, Age : 45 years
5. One Deputy Director Mines Safety (Mechanical) in Directorate General of Mines Safety, Labour and Employment Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs.12000-16500/-, Qualification : Degree in Mechanical engineering from a recognised University, Experience : Ten years professional experience in an industrial installation or engineering workshop (including at least 2 years experience in Mechanical Engineering in direct relation to plant and equipment used in mining), , Age : 40 years
6. Six Deputy Directors of Training (Mechanical Engineering) (SC-2,OBC-1) in the Directorate General of Employment and Training in Labour and Employment Ministry, Pay Scale : 10000-15200/-, Qualification : A Degree in Mechanical Engineering of a recognised university or equivalent, Experience : About five years' experience subsequent to graduation in a supervisory capacity in a workshop or factory or concern of repute engaged in production or in teaching in a recognised Teaching Institute OR about 5 years experience in the specialised trade after graduation ii) Administrative experience, Age : 40 years
7. Two Deputy Directors of Training (Electrical Engineering) (OBC-1, OH-1) in the Directorate General of Employment and Training in Labour and Employment Ministry, Pay Scale : 10000-15200/-, Qualification : A Degree in Electrical Engineering of a recognised university or equivalent, Experience : About five years' experience subsequent to graduation in a supervisory capacity in a workshop or factory or concern of repute engaged in production or in teaching in a recognised Teaching Institute OR about 5 years experience in the specialised trade after graduation ii) Administrative experience, Age : 40 years
8. Two Deputy Directors of Training (Electronics Engineering) (OBC-1) in the Directorate General of Employment and Training in Labour and Employment Ministry, Pay Scale : 10000-15200/-, Qualification : A Degree in Electronics Engineering of a recognised university or equivalent, Experience : About five years' experience subsequent to graduation in a supervisory capacity in a workshop or factory or concern of repute engaged in production or in teaching in a recognised Teaching Institute OR about 5 years experience in the specialised trade after graduation ii) Administrative experience, Age : 40 years
9. Four Assistant Directors of Training (Electronics Engineering) (SC-1,OBC-1) in the Directorate General of Employment and Training in Labour and Employment Ministry, Pay Scale : 8000-15200/-, Qualification : A Degree in Electronics Engineering/Technology, Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Technology, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/Technology of a recognised university or equivalent, Experience : Two years' industrial experience in Electronics, Age : 35 years
10. Three Assistant Directors of Training ( Mechanical Engineering) (SC-1,OBC-1) in the Directorate General of Employment and Training in Labour and Employment Ministry, Pay Scale : 8000-15200/-, Qualification : A Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology of a recognised university or equivalent, Experience : Two years' industrial experience in Electronics, Age : 35 years
11. One Reader (Paediatrics) in Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh, Department of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh Administration, Pay Scale : Rs.16350-20100/- + NPA, Qualification : A recognised Medical qualification (ii) M.D. (Paediatrics) , Experience : Five years' teaching experience in concerned speciality, Age : 50 years.
12. One Senior Lecturer (Anatomy) in Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh, Department of Medical Education and Research (OBC) in Chandigarh Administration, Pay Scale : Rs.14300-18150/- + NPA, Qualification : A recognised Medical qualification (ii) MS (Anatomy) MD (Anatomy)/ MBBS with M.Sc. (anatomy) OR M.Sc. (Medical Anatomy) and Ph.D. (Medical Anatomy)/ D.Sc.(Medical Anatomy) , Experience : Three years' teaching experience in concerned speciality, Age : 53 years.
13. Ten Veterinary Assistant Surgeons, Department of Rural Development (Animal Husbandry) in Puducherry Government, Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/- + NPA, Qualification : A recognised Veterinary qualification (ii) Should be registered with the State Veterinary Council or Indian Veterinary Council, Age : 35 years.
