UPSC invites application on prescribed forms by 27th September 2007 (4th October 2007 for the candidates from far flung areas) for various posts in various Government of India Ministries and Departments in the prescribed format. The post are :

1. Four Scientific Officers, Grade-II (Electronics - Computer Engineering / Computer Science) (SC-1,OBC-2) in the Directorate General of Quality Assurance, Department of Defence Production, Defence Quality Assurance Service, Defence Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 8000-13500/-, Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering/ Computer Science/ Computer Technology/ Information Technology or M.Sc. in Computer Science from a recognised University or equivalent, Experience : 2 years practical experience in Software Development or Software Quality Assurance, Age : 35 years
2. Two Assistant Professors, Specialist Grade-II (OBC-1) in Cardio Thoracic Surgery (CTVS) at JIPMER, Puducherry, Department of Health, Central Health Service (Teaching Specialist Sub-Cadre) in Health & F.W. Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs.10000-15200/- + NPA, Qualification : A recognised medical qualification (ii) Post Graduate degree in the concerned super-Speciality i.e. M.Ch. (Cardio-Thoracic Surgery) / M.Ch. (Thoracic Surgery) OR Speciality Board of Thoracic Surgery (USA) or equivalent ., Experience : 3 years teaching experience as Tutor/ Demonstrator/ Registrar/ Senior Resident in the concerned Super Speciality in a recognised medical college/ institution after obtaining the first post graduate degree qualification, Age : 45 years
3. Two Assistant Professor (Urology) (OBC-1) at JIPMER, Puducherry Department of Health, Specialist Gr-II of Central Health Service in the Teaching Specialist Sub-Cadres, Health and Family Welfare Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 10000-15200/- + NPA, Qualification: A recognised Medical qualification (ii) Post-Graduate degree degree qualification in the speciality i.e. M.Ch. (Urology) or Speciality Board of Urology (USA) or equivalent (ii) 3 years teaching experience, Age : 45 years
4. One Assistant Professor (Psychiatry) Department of Health, Specialist Gr-II of Central Health Service in the Teaching Specialist Sub-Cadres, Health and Family Welfare Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 10000-15200/- + NPA, Qualification: A recognised Medical qualification (ii) Post-Graduate degree degree qualification in the speciality i.e. M.D. (Psychiatry)/MD (Psychological Medicine)/ Speciality Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (USA)/ DPM of two years course/ Diploma in Psychiatry (Edin) of two years course/ Diploma in Psychiatry (Mc Gill) University, Montreal, Canada of two years course or equivalent (ii) 3 years teaching experience, Age : 45 years
5. Two Specialist, Grade-II (Jr. Scale) (Urologist), Department of Health, Central Health Service (Non-Teaching Sub-Cadre) (OBC-1), Health and Family Welfare Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 10000-15200/- + NPA, Qualification: A recognised Medical qualification (ii) Post-Graduate degree degree qualification in the speciality i.e. M.Ch. (Urology) or Speciality Board of Urology (USA) or equivalent (ii) 3 years teaching experience, Age : 45 years
6. Two Welfare Administrators in Labour Welfare Organisation, Labour and Employment Ministry (SC-1), Pay Scale : Rs.6500-10500/-, Qualification : Degree of a recognised university or equivalent (ii) Post-graduate diploma in Social Work/ Labour Welfare/Industrial Relations/ Personnel Management of a recognised University/Institution or equivalent, , Age : 30 years.
