IIT Madras invites applications from Indian Nationals with an established record of independent, high quality research and commitment to teaching and research for faculty positions at the levels of:

• Professor : Scale of pay Rs. 18400-500-22400
• Associate Professor : Scale of pay Rs. 16400-450-20000
• Assistatn Professor : Scale of pay Rs. 12000-420-18300

Qualification : Ph.D., with the preceding Degree in the appropriate branch, with consistently good academic record throughout .

Experience :

1. Professor : A minimum of 10 years Teaching / Post Graduate Research / Industrial Experience, of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor / Associate Professor.
2. Associate Professor : A minimum of 8 years Teaching / Post Graduate Research / Industrial Experience, of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor.
3. Assistant Professor : Candidates preferably should be below 35 years of age. Candidates who expect to receive their Ph.D. within the next six months may also apply. But their appointment to the post, if found suitable, will be subject to their receiving the degree.
