IIT Kharagpur, an Institute of national importance, is the first and the largest amongst the chain of seven IITs engaged in teaching, research and development.

IIT Kharagpur requires Professional Trainees for its Central Library. The training is for a period of One Year. A Stipend of Rs. 4,000/- per month will be given to each trainee.

The candidates having Postgraduate degree holding First Class in both B.Lib & I.Sc., M.Lib & I.Sc. and age below 30 years may apply on plain paper to the Chairman, Central Library. IIT, Kharagpur - 721302 on or before December 15, 2007 enclosing CV along with attested copies of certificates. Candidates with relevant computer knowledge will be preferred. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH etc. will be made as per Govt. of India rules.
