Applications are invited from male candidates to join as Assistant Commandant in General Duty, General Duty (Pilot), General Duty (Pilot Entry for Commercial Pilot License Holders for Short Service Appointment) and Technical Branches for 02/2008 batch

The Indian Coast Guard, an armed force of the Union, offers a challanging and inspiring career as Group 'A' Gazetted Offices in the pay scale of Rs.8000-13500. Applications are invited from Indian Citizens for the following posts:

1. Assistant Commandant General Duty, General Duty (Piot) and General Duty (Pilot Entry for Commercial Pilot License (CPL) holder for Short Service appointment) : 40 posts (SC-06,ST-03,OBC-11,Gen-20)
   • Qualification: General Duty : Bachelor's degree in any discipline of a recognised university with Mathematics and Physics subjects upto 12th Std. , General Duty Pilot : Bachelor's degree of a recognised university with Mathematics and Physics as subjects during graduation., General Duty Pilot Entry for Commercial Pilot Licence : 12th class passed or equivalent and should posses current Commercial Pilot Licence on the date of submission of application.,
   • Age : General Duty : Born between 01 July 83 and 30 june 87, General Duty Pilot : Born between 01 july 83 and 30 June 81, General Duty Pilot Entry for Commercial Pilot Licence : Born between 01 July 81 and 30 June 89.
2. Assistant Commandant (Technical) - 10 posts (SC-02,ST-01,OBC-03,Gen-04)
   • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Naval Architechture/ Marine/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Tele-communications and Electronics/ Design/ Production/ Aeronautical/ Control Engineering or equivalent qualificiaiton by institute recognised by AIIE or Marine Engeering graduates of IMET, Kolkata (ii) Certificate of Competency as 1st class Engineer of Motorship or other similiar certificates from Min. of surface Transport, Govt. of India (iii) Certificate of final exam of the college of Marine engineering under the Department of surface transport, Govt. of India (iv) have passed section 'A' & 'B' of Institute of Engineers examination in the listed disciplines above.
   • Age : Born between 01 July 78 and 30 June 87

The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years of OBC candidates.

Last date of receipt of Applications is 15th January, 2008. (For far-flung areas, the last date is 21/01/2008)
