Update as on 15/04/08 : The areas for Faculty positions are Networking, Wireless System, Sensors, Information Security & Micro-Electronics, Operation Management. The faculty for ITES Project should have substantial experience of work in IT enabled services alongwith other requisite qualifications. The ITES positions are re-designated as Professor/Senior Scientist, Associate Professor/Scientist, Assistant Professor/Junior Scientist and Lecturer/Principal Scientific Officer. The last date of submission of the application is now May 6th, 2008. Other conditions will remain same as advertised.

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the posts of
- Professors (Rs.18400-500-22400)
- Associate Professors (Rs.16400-450-20000)
- Assistant Professors (Rs.12000-420-18300)
- Lecturers (Rs.10000-325-15200)
- Project Manager (Rs.20000 pm fixed)
- Project Associate (Rs.10000 pm fixed)
Minimum Qualification (for all faculty positions) : Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch, with a very good academic record throughout, In addition, for
- Professor : 10 years teaching/ research/ industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor.
- Associate Professor : 8 years teaching/ research/ industrial experience of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor.
- Assistant Professor : 3 years teaching/ research/ industrial experience.
- Lecturer : Fresh Ph.D’s in concerned subject without teaching experience. Deserving candidate pursuing Ph.D. and having outstanding academic records from reputed Institute, may also be considered and on being selected will get an opportunity to complete their Ph.D. within 3 years from the date of appointment along with a yearly performance appraisal. Thereafter they can be considered for the post of Assistant Professor if found suitable
- Project Manager : Master degree in any Physical/Biological Sciences/ Graduate in Engineering/ Technology with good knowledge of Computer applications and experience in IT applications area.
- Project Associate : Master Degree in Physical/ Biological Science/ Graduate in Engineering/ Technology with good knowledge of Computer Application and throughout minimum high second class with three first division out of four. They will be later on preferred in academic programme and other activities of IIIT-Allahabad
Reservation for physically handicapped applicable as per G.O.I. norms.
Application Fee : Demand Draft of Rs.250/- (Rs.150/- for SC/STcandidates) drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of “IIIT-Allahabad” payable at Allahabad may be sent.
