MP Higher Judicial Secrvice Exam 2007

Applications are invited for 30 posts in Madhya Pradesh Higher Judicial Service in the pay scale of Rs.16750-20500 in the cadre of Higher Judicial Service by direct recruitment from the Bar. Out of these 30 posts 16 for General Candidaes, 5 for SC, 5 for ST and 4 for 4 for OBC candidates.

Age : Minimum 35 years and not more than 48 years as on 01/01/2007 i.e. the candidate must be born between 01/01/1959 to 01/01/1972 including both the dates.

Qualification : Candidate should have practised as an Advocate for not less than seven year as on 01/01/2007.

Advocates interested in and who are eligible for being considered for the post should submit their applications as per the prescribed format alongwith certificates/ testimonials relating to their date of birth, caste, qualifications, Domicile, experience, standing at the Bar. A Certificate from the Secretary of the State Bar Council or President/Secretary of concerned Bar Association that he or she is an advocate having practised for not less than seven years, as such in the format.

Fee : Rs.750/- for General category and Rs.500/- for candidates of SC/ST and OBC category in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Registrar General, High Court of Madhya Prades, Jabalpur payable at State Bank of India, Main Branch, Civil Line, Jabalpur. The candidates are required to mention their names and address on the back of the DD.

How to Apply: Applications duly signed alongwith two recent passport size photograph and one self addressed envelope (11cm x 5 cms.) which should be stamped with postal stamps of Rs.8/- addressed to the Registrar General, High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur-482007 should reach on or before 31/05/2007. The words "Application for Appointment in Madhya Pradesh Higher Judicial Service" should be superscribed on the top of enevelope.

Selection process : There will be a Preliminary Examination comprising of Law, English and General Knowledge. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary exam will be required to appear in main written examination.
