INDIAN ARMY

First Short Service Commission (Technical) Women Course (April-2008) at Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai (including War/Battle casualty widows of defence personnel for tech and non-tech entry)

Applications are invited from unmarried female, issueless widow, issueless divorcee, widows (with children) of defence personnel's only for grant of Commission to the Indian Army. Minimum qualifications, vacancies age and percentage are as given below:

• BE/B.Tech Civil Engineering (pass), Age: 19-25 years (from 02 Apr 83 to 01 Apr 1989), Entry code : 52(1), Application Colour: Yellow
• BE/B.Tech Architecture (pass), Age : 19-25 years (from 02 Apr 83 to 01 Apr 1989), Entry code : 52(2), Application Colour : Yellow
• BE/B.Tech CSE/IT (pass), Age : 19-25 years (from 02 Apr 83 to 01 Apr 1989), Entry code : 52(3), Application Colour : Yellow
• BE/B.Tech ECE/Telecom (pass), Age : 19-25 years (from 02 Apr 83 to 01 Apr 1989), Entry code : 52(4), Application Colour : Yellow
• BE/B.Tech Electronics/ Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering (pass), Age : 19-25 years (from 02 Apr 83 to 01 Apr 1989), Entry code : 52(5), Application Colour : Yellow
• B.Sc. (PCM) (60% and above), Age : 19-25 years (from 02 Apr 83 to 01 Apr 1989), Entry code: 52(6), Application Colour: Yellow

Entry for War/Battle casualty Widows with 04 years age relaxation

• Graduate in any discipline (pass), Age : 19-29 years (from 02 Apr 79 to 01 Apr 1989), Entry code : 53(1), Application Colour : White
• BE/B.Tech. in streams as above (pass), Age : 19-29 years (from 02 Apr 79 to 01 Apr 1989), Entry code: 53(2), Application Colour: White

Candidates studying in the final year/semester, of Technical Degree examination, can also apply but they will be required to submit passing by 16th Feb 2008 positively.

Physical Standards: The minimum acceptable height and weight for women candidate is 152 cm and 42 kg. in. Height relaxable up to 5 cms in case of candidates from Nepal, Bhutan, North East, Gorkhas, Assamese and Garhwalis.

Pay Scale : Rs.8250-10500/-
