The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) invites applications for the 15th (XV) online examination (Preliminary and Main) for Group-A Officers and Multipurpose Office-Assistants (OA) (Clerical cadre) Posts in the Participating Rural Banks (RRB).

The next Online Combined Recruitment Process (CRP) (XV 15th) for Regional Rural Banks (RRB) (RRB CRP XV) for recruitment of 13706 Group-A Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group-B Office-Assistants (OA) (Multipurpose) for 43 Regional Rural Banks will be conducted online by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).

IBPS 15th XV CRP RRB Officer Office-Assistant Recruitment 2026

The Preliminary Recruitment Examination for Office Assistants (Multi-Purpose) will be conducted by IBPS tentatively in November/December 2026.

The Preliminary recruitment of Group “A” Officers (Scale-I, II & III) under the XV RRB CRP will be coordinated tentatively in November/December 2026.

The Main examination for both vacancies will be held in December 2026/February 2027.

IBPS, an autonomous body, has been authorised and has received mandates to conduct the Common Written Examination (CWE) for the posts of Officers and Office Assistant  (Multipurpose) for 43 Regional Rural Banks (Garmin Banks). 

IBPS XV 15th RRB CRP Selection Process

Any eligible candidate who aspires to join any of the 43 Regional Rural Banks as Group “A” Officers (Scale I, II & III) and Group “B” Office Assistants (Multipurpose), is required to register for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP for RRBs-XV).

For the posts of Officers Scale-I and Office Assistants (Multi-purpose), the examination will be two tiers i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases, preliminary and main. Candidates who apply for the post of Office Assistants (Multi-purpose) will be provisionally allotted on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the Main examination and the vacancies reported by the RRBs.

For the post of Officers Scale-I, candidates who will qualify in the preliminary examination and are shortlisted will have to appear for the Main examination, and shortlisted candidates in the Main examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority.


Candidates who apply for Officer Scale-II (Generalist and Specialists)  and Officer Scale-III posts will appear for a single online examination, and shortlisted candidates in the single examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority.


A candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for the Post of Officer. However, a candidate can apply for only one post in the officer’s cadre, i.e. for Officer Scale-I or Scale-II, or Scale-III.
