Recruitment of Junior Clerk in Supreme Court of India 2006

SCIApplications in prescribed form are invited from Indian citizens who fulfil the following essential qualifications and other eligibility conditions as on 1.10.2006 for preparation of a panel for appointment to the post of Junior Clerk in the provisional and ad-hoc scale of pay of Rs.4500-125-7000/- plus usual allowances as admissible under the Rules.

Essential Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree of a recognised University with a minimum speed of 35 w.p.m. (with 2% mistakes) in English Typewriting. Working knowledge of Computer operation.

Age Requirement :
Candidates should be below 27 years. Usual relaxation in age will be admissible to SC/ST/OBC candidates and ex-servicemen as per Government Rules.

Scheme of Examination/Selection :
The eligible candidates will have to appear in the tests (of 1 and 1/2 hour duration) in the following subjects:-
  1. Objective Type Question paper with multiple choice answers containing 100 questions (consisting of 50 General English questions, 25 General Aptitude questions and 25 General Knowledge questions)
  2. Typing (English) test at the speed of 35 w.p.m. 10 minutes (with 2% mistakes)


How to Apply:
The application must be on the form obtained from the Supreme Court. The Application Kit can be obtained on any working Monday to Friday from 13.11.2006 to 11.12.2006 against non-refundable Demand Draft/Pay Order for Rs.200/- (Rs.100/- in case of SC/ST candidates) in favour of Registrar (Admn.), Supreme Court of India payable at New Delhi from the Reception Counter of Supreme Court of India near Gate B, opposite UCO Bank or by sending a self addressed envelope of 32cmX25cm size with postage stamp of Rs.60/- affixed thereon along with Demand Draft of the requisite amount.


The candidates who fulfil the prescribed qualifications and eligibility conditions should submit the application in the prescribed form duly filled in at the Reception Counter of the Supreme Court of India on any working Monday to Friday till 11.12.2006. Applications can also be sent by Registered AD post addressed to Registrar (Admn.), Supreme Court of India, Tilak Marg, New Delhi-110001 in the envelope provided with the application form so as to reach latest by 11.12.2006.
