Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is a leading “Navratna” Public Sector Enterprise engaged in Refining, Distribution and Marketing of Petroleum Products. HPCL invites applications from eligible candidates to fill up vacancies as per following details for the Refinery at Vishakhapatna:

1. Operations Technician : 96 posts (UR-54,SC-16,ST-8,OBC-20), Qualification : First class Diploma in Chemical Engineering OR First Class B.Sc. (Maths/ Physics & Chemistry) with 60% marks in Chemistry
2. Operations Technicians : 33 posts (UR-19,SC-6,ST-2,OBC-6), Qualification : First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
3. Operations Technician - Power Zone : 28 posts (UR-14,SC-5,ST-2,OBC-7), Qualification : First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and First Class Boiler Attendant Competency Certificate
4. Maintenance Technician Electrical : 15 posts (UR-7,SC-2,ST-2, OBC-4), Qualification : First Class Diploma in Electrical Engineering OR First Class Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
5. Maintenance Technician Instrumentation : 9 posts (UR-5,SC-2,OBC-2), Qualification : First Class Diploma in Instrumentation & Control OR First Class Diploma in Electronics & Instrumentation OR First Class Diploma in Electronics & Communication OR First Class Diploma in Industrial Electronics & Instrumentation OR First Class B.Sc. (Maths, Physics & Chemistry or Electronics) with long term course of 48 weeks in Process Instrumentation from ATI Hyderabad.
6. Maintenance Technician - Garage : 3 posts (UR-2,OBC-1), Qualification : First Class Diploma in Automobile Engineering OR First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engg.
7. Maintenance Technician (Heavy Vehicle/ Equipment/ Crane Operator) : 4 posts (UR-2,SC-1,OBC-1), Qualification : SSC (10th class) Pass with Valid HGV Licence.
8. Lab Analyst : 13 posts (UR-7,SC-2,ST-1,OBC-3), Qualification : First Class B.Sc. (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) with 60% marks in Chemistry
9. Jr. Fire & Saety Inspector : 29 posts (UR-17, SC-4,ST-2,OBC-6), Qualification : Intermediate (Science Group) Pass & valid LMV Licence OR SSC (10th Class) pass with valid HMV Licence
10. Male Nurse : 1 post (UR), Qualification : Intermediate with Pass class & Diploma in General Nursing (3 years course)
11. Jr. Secretarial Assistant : 6 posts (1-PWD, UR1,ST-1,OBC-3), Qualification : First Class in BA/ B.Com./ B.Sc. with Shorthand (100 WPM) Intermediate & Typewriting Higher in English. Knowledge of Hindi Stenography/ Typing is desirable at the time of appointment & essential for confirmation.
12. Hindi Translator cum Typist : 1 post (OBC), Qualification : First Class graduate in any disciplne with Hindi as First/ Second language and English as subsidiary AND typewriting speed of min. 25 WPM in Hindi and 30 WPM in English AND minimum one year relevant experience in translation from Hindi to English and English to Hindi in an Organisation of repute.

Age limit : 30 years as on 01/06/2007. Age relaxable to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Serviceman candidates as per Govt. rules.

Selection Process : Written Test (at 6 centres Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai)/ Interview

Pay Scale : Rs.4225-10400/-. Reviesion due w.e.f. 01/07/2007.

Female candidates need not apply for the post 1-10. Candidates need to apply for one post only as the written test for all the posts will be conducted on the same date and time.
