(2) NET is the compulsory requirement for appointment as Lecturer. However the candidate having Ph.D. degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET for P.G. level and UG level teaching. The candidates having M.Phil. degree in the concerned subjects are exempted from NET for UG level teaching only

A Relaxation of 5% marks at Master's level to the PH persons be granted for Lecturer post and for those who have already cleared JRF Examination conducted by UGC/CSIR only, prior to 1989 when the minimum marks required to appear for JRF examination were 50%.

    Faculty members are allowed the privilege of 52 days of consulting, income from which is shared between faculty and the Institute according to Institute's rules. The institute also provides liberal financial grants to encourage faculty to undertake research and participate in seminars and conferences, national/international and programmes of self-development.
