National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML), a constituent unit of CSIR. Applications are invited in the prescribed form from Indian nationals for the following Scientific posts in various divisions of the laboratory:

1. Scientist Gr.IV(1) (Phys. Met./ Phys. Sc & Engg. Sc.) : 05 posts (ST :01,OBC:01,GEN:03)
• Pay Scale : Rs.8000-275-13500
• Age : Not exceeding 35 years
• Qualification : 1st Class B.E./B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Met. Engg/ Computer Sci. & Engg./IT or MCA Or M.E./ M.Tech or Ph.D or equivalent qualification in Met. Engg/Materials Engg/ Computer Sci. & Engg./IT.

5. Scientist Gr.IV(3) (Process Met. & Chem. Sci.) : 02 posts
• Pay Scale : Rs.12000-375-16500
• Age : Not exceeding 40 years
• Qualification : 1st Class B.E./ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Met. Engg./ Chem. Engg. with 7 years relevant experience or 1st Class MBA with 7 years relevant experience Or M.E./ M.Tech or equivalent qualification in Met. Engg./ Chem. Engg. & 5 years relevant experience. Or Ph.D in Met. Engg./ Chem. Engg. and 3 years relevant experience or Ph.D in Management and 4 years relevant experience.
• Desirable Qualification: Ph.D in Met. Engg./Chem. Engg. (with 1st class B.E./ B.Tech in Met. Engg/ Chem. Engg./ M.Sc.) and 3 yrs relevant experience / MBA with 1st Class BE/ B.Tech and 7 yrs. relevant experience Or Ph.D in Management (with 1st class BE/ B.Tech.) and 4 yrs. relevant experience.
6. Scientist Gr.IV(4) (Phys. Met./ Phys. Sci. & Eng. Sci.) : 02 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.14300-400-18300/-, Age : 45 years., Qualification : 1st Class B.E./ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Met. Engg. / Mech. Engg. / Electronics & Instrumentation and 10 years relevant experience. Or M.E./ M.Tech or equivalent qualification in Met.Engg./Mech. Engg./Electronics and Instrumentation with 8 years relevant experience. Or Ph.D in Engg. with 6 years relevant experience. , Desirable Qualification : Ph.D (with 1st class B.E./B.Tech.) and 6 years relevant experience.
7. Scientist Gr.IV(4) (Process Met. & Chem. Sc.): 02 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.14300-400-18300/-, Age : 45 years., Qualification : 1st Class B.E./B.Tech in Ceramics Engg. / Chem. Engg./Met. Engg./ Mineral Engg. with 10 yrs. relevant experience. Or M.E./ M.Tech in Ceramics Engg./Chem. Engg./ Met. Engg./ Mineral Engg. with 8 yrs. relevant experience. Or Ph.D in Ceramics Engg./ Chem. Engg./ Met. Engg./ Mineral Engg. with 6 yrs. relevant experience.

Relaxation in age limit maximum upto 5 years and 3 years in respect of SC/ST and OBC candidates respectively.
