Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)

UPSC invites application on prescribed forms by 31st January 2008 (7th January 2008 for the candidates from far flung areas) for various posts in various Government of India Ministries and Departments in the prescribed format. The post are :

1. One Marketing Officer (Group III) (Oil ans Fats), Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Directorate of Marketing and Inspection, Agriculture Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 6500-10500/-, Qualification: Master’s Degree in Chemistry /Agriculture Chemistry/ Dairy Chemistry/ Dairying from a recognized University or equivalent. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Oil Technology/ Food Technology/ Chemical Technology/ Dairy Technology from a recognized University or equivalent., Experience : Two years’ experience in the field of analytical work of organic material or in the field of Marketing of Milk and Milk Products, Oils and Fats including Essential Oils and Allied commodities OR Diploma in Marketing Management awarded by the Indian Institute of Food Technology or any other registered University/ Institute or equivalent., Age : 33 years
2. Eight Registrars of Companies/ Assistant Registrars of Companies/ Official Liquidators/ Registrars of Companies-cum-Official Liquidators/ Assistants Official Liquidators (Technical/ Legel) / Assistant Directors (Training/ Inspection/ Audit) in Junior Time Scale in Accounts Branch of Indian Company Law Service (ICLS) in Comany Affairs Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 8000-13500/-, Qualification: A qualification recognised for enrolment in the Register of members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or Membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India or equivalent. OR Master’s degree in Commerce with Advanced Accountancy or Management Accountancy or Financial Accountancy from a recognised University or equivalent., Experience : Two years’ experience in a commercial or industrial organisation or in a Government Department connected with the administration of the Companies Act, 1956, Age : 35 years
3. One Senior Scientific Officer, Grade-I (Gentex-Polymer/Plastic & Rubber Technology) in the Directorate General of Quality Assurance, Department of Defence Production. Defence Quality Assurance Service in Defence Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs.10000-15200/-, Qualification : Degree in Polymer Technology/Plastic & Rubber Technology from a recognised University or equivalent., Experience : 4 years practical experience in Production/ Development/ Quality Assurance in the relevant field., Age : 35 years
4. Two Civil Hydrographic Officers in the Integrated Headquarters (Navy). Defence Service (Civilian) in Defence Ministry (SC-1,OBC-1), Pay Scale : Rs. 6500-10500/-, Qualification: Degree in Engineering or Masters’ degree in Mathematics or Geography or Geophysics from a recognized University OR Pass in the final examination of the Institution of Surveyors in sub-division 1(b) Hydrographic surveying., Experiene : Two years’ experience as a qualified Surveying Officer in a recognized Hydrographic Service, Age : 35 years for SC & 33 for OBC candidate.
5. Two Assistant Professors (TB & Chest Diseases) in Department of Health, Specialist Grade-II of Central Health Service (Teaching Specialist Sub-Cadre) (OBC-1) in Health and FW Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 10000-15200/-+NPA, Qualification: A recognized medical qualification (ii) Post-Graduate Degree qualification in the concerned speciality i.e., M.D. (Tuberculosis), MD/ MRCP in Medicine with TDD, DTD or DTCD, M.D(Respiratory Diseases and TBO) or Diploma National Board (Respiratory Diseases), M.D.(Medicine) with Diploma National Board(Respiratory Diseases) or equivalent, Experience : 3 years teaching experience, Age : 35 years
6. One Training Officer (Architectural Assistantship) under Women Vocational Training Programme, Directorate General of Employment & Training (OBC) in Labour and Employment Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 6500-10500/-, Qualification: Degree in Architecture from a recognised University/Institute or equivalent, Experience : Two years’ relevant experience in Industry/Training in the field after acquiring qualification mentioned above including experience in the area of Training of Trainers, Age : 33 years
7. One Assistant Director, Grade-II (Electronics) in Office of the Development Commissioner (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) in Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 6500-10500/-, Qualification: Degree in Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering from a recognised University / Institute or equivalent, Experience : Two years’ experience in supervisory capacity in a technical/industrial unit in development and production of electronic components, equipments and instruments/testing/inspection of Electronics Engineering products or experience in promotion of small scale industries in area of entrepreneurship development and quality control, Age : 35 years
8. One Professor (Technical) (Computer Science & Engineering) in Ambedkar Institute of Technology under Department of Training and Technical Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Pay Scale : Rs. 16400-22400/-, Qualification: (i) Ph.D Degree with first class degree at Bachelors’ or Masters’ level in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology from a recognized University or equivalent. ii) 10 years’ teaching experience in Teaching / Industry / Research out of which 5 years must be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent. OR B. Candidates from Industry/Profession with Masters’ Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology and Professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D Degree and with 10 years’ Industrial/Professional experience, out of which at least 5 years should be at senior level comparable to that of Assistant Professor would also be eligible. NOTE :I: If a class/division is not awarded at B.E./ B. Tech / ME / M. Tech/Equivalent degree, a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to 1st class/division, Age : 50 years
9. One Lecturer (Technical) (Electrical Engineering) in Ambedkar Institute of Technology under Department of Training and Technical Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Pay Scale : Rs. 8000-13500/-, Qualification: First class Bachelor’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology from a recognized University or equivalent. OR First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology from a recognized University or equivalent, Age : 50 years.
