Scientist Recruitment in Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI - CSIR) 2006

Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, is a premier plant science research institute under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). The institute is looking for talented and qualified IT professionals having a brilliant academic record, and experience in Application Development, Implementation and Handholding, and Networking for appointment as Scientist (fellow) on contract basis as detailed below:

1. Name of Position: Scientist (Fellow)
2. Number of Position: Two 2 (01 in Area - IT professional in Application Development implementation & Handholding, 01 in Area - IT professional in Networking)
3. Qualification: (i) M.Tech. or equivalent degree /Ph.D. in Computer Science /Information Technology/Bioinformatics, having a uniformly outstanding academic record and clear potential for high quality IT Work with minimum 5 years experience OR M.Tech. or its equivalent degree with 03 years experience/Ph.D. in the computer (ii) Science / Information Technology/ Bioinformatics with the outstanding academic record, and a proven ability for high quality IT Work.
4. Emoluments: Range (3): Rs. 12000/12600/13200/13800/14400/15000/15600/16200/16800 (Plus 15% HRA) OR Range (2): Rs. 10000/10500/110000/11500/120000/125000/13000/13500 (Plus 15% HRA) { the object of indicating the emolument in the above manner is that the Scientist (Fellow) can be appointed at any stage).
5. Area of Work: (a) Application Development, Implementation and & Handholding,
   Experience in virtual team collaboration systems and Application development using open source products., Object-Oriented Programming in JAVA with coding experience, Understanding of JAVA (J2EE), Servlets, JSP, JDSC, JNDI, EJS, Java Beans and applets; Development experience using J2EE-compliant application servers (Weblogic, Web, Sphere, JRun Silver Stream), Integration of web applications to back end databases, Apache, Jakarta, Struts, XML, (Over RPC), UML Web/EJB/Java security. Good knowledge of office automation systems, Object Oriented analysis 7 design techniques OR life cycle development in VB, COM+, DOt Net, ASP, DCOM, MSMQ, C#, Visual Source Safe, Crystal Reports, ADO, IIS, HTML, XML, XSL, XSD, Object-Oriented Design, VB Script, JAVA Script and SQL Server,. Good knowledge of office automation systems, Object-oriented analysis and design technologies OR MS SQL Server administration including installation, upgrades, configuration and maintenance on Open Source/ Windows 2003 platforms; perform relational database maintenance, consisting of creating new and revising existing user databases. Create/update the database models; knowledge in development and maintenance of stored procedures DTS and replication; Backup and recovery option, import and export utility, DTS ,BCP, SQL Profiler, OLAP, ADO, Replication Clustering OR knowledge of Oracle and Sun Solaris or Red Hat Advanced Server4, Oracle network configuration, Data Modeling security, oracle advanced features (replication, partitioning, parallel processing) STAT PACK PL/SQL, Unix shell programming, JDBC, Unix/Linux Shell Programming.
   (b) ICT infrastructure development/installation, upgradation, configuration, maintenance and management of network systems (inclusive of PCs Servers, networking components), Knowledge of Industry standard networking components and technologies (routers, Switches, Cabling systems, Firewalls, Antivirus, IDS/IPS. VPN appliances, multi-utility network security appliances wireless networking equipment and Videoconferencing etc. Working knowledge of Open Source Os/Windows 2003 Server, ActiveDirectory and related IT-enabled services. Must have a design, develop and implement highly secure multi-location enterprise-wide networks. Knowledge of state of the art industry standards firewalls, IDS/IPS and implementation of multi-utility security networking appliances, Facility management services, SLAs inclusive of Networking project management
6. Duration of Scheme: Maximum three years.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

1. Age not exceeding 40years for range (3) and 35 years range(2)
2. As on 24/07/2006 relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to Sc/ST/PH and 3 years for OBC categories.
3. the above fellowship will be on contract for a maximum period of 3 years and strictly co-terminus with this tenure
4. Candidates of Indian origin settled abroad of proven merit, as evidenced by their work/publications; may also apply who may be considered in absentia
5. Candidates have the option to interact in Hindi before the Committee
6.
