Backlog Vacancies in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan 2006

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (K.V.S.) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. K.V.S. intends to recruit Officers and Non-Teaching Staff for its Head Office/ Regional Offices situated in 18 cities/ schools spread all over India. Applications are invited in the prescribed format (as per annexure enclosed) from Indian Nationals for Special Recruitment Drive to fill up backlog reserved vacancies for SCs and STs and also for vacancies for the above posts in KVS for the current year 2006-2007 and for drawing a panel of candidates. The details of the posts and eligibility criteria etc. are given below:

1. ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER: 04 posts
   • Pay Scale: Rs. 12000-375-16500
   • Age limit: 50 yrs as on 01/12/06
   • Qualification :
     1. At least a second class Master’s Degree.
     2. Degree in Education or equivalent qualification.
     3. 05 years of regular service as Principal/ Education Officer or equivalent posts in the scale of pay of Rs.10000-15200 under the Central/ State Government and autonomous organisations.
2. EDUCATION OFFICER: 03 posts
   • Pay Scale: Rs. 10000-15200
   • Age Limit: 45 yrs as on 01/12/06
   • Qualification: i) Master’s Degree from recognised University with at least 55% marks.
     ii) B.Ed.
3. PRINCIPAL: 20 posts
   • Pay Scale: Rs. 10000-152000
   • Lower & Upper Age Limit: 35-50 yrs as on 01/12/06
   • Qualification: i) Master’s Degree from recognised University with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
     ii) B.Ed. or equivalent teaching degree.
4. AUDIT AND ACCOUNTS OFFICER: 02 posts
   • Pay Scale: Rs. 7450-225-11500
   • Age limit: 35 yrs as on 01/12/06
   • Qualification:
     i) B.Com with 50% marks and at least 4 years experience as Accounts Officer/Audit Officer in Central/ State Govt./ Autonomous bodies/ Public Undertakings.
     OR
     M.Com with 50% marks and at least 3 years experience as Audit Officer in Central/ State Govt./ Autonomous bodies/ Public Undertakings in the pay scale of Rs.6500-10500.
     OR
     CA (Inter) or ICWA (Inter) or MBA with 2 years experience.
     ii) Knowledge of Computer operations/ applications.
5. HINDI TRANSLATOR: 06 posts
   • Pay Scale:Rs. 4500-7000
   • Age limit: 28 yrs as on 01/12/06
   • Qualification:
     Master’s Degree of a recognized University in Hindi/ English, with Hindi / English as main subjects at Degree level.
6. JUNIOR STENO (GRADE-III) : 18 posts
   • Pay Scale: Rs. 4000-6000
   • Age limit: 27 yrs as on 01/12/06
   • Qualification : (i) Matric or equivalent.
     (ii) Speed in Hindi / English Shorthand 80 w.p.m and Typing Speed 40 w.p.m
     (iii) Knowledge of Computer.
7. UPPER DIVISION CLERK: 17 posts
• Pay Scale: Rs. 4000-6000
• Age limit: 30 yrs as on 01/12/06
• Qualification : (i) Class XII (ii) Knowledge of Computer Operation.
8. LOWER DIVISION CLERK: 144 posts
• Pay Scale: Rs. 3050-4590
• Age limit: 18-27 yrs as on 01/12/06
• Qualification : (i) Class XII (ii) Knowledge of Computer Operation.
9. STAFF CAR DRIVER: 02 posts
• Pay Scale: Rs. 3050-4590
• Age limit: 30 yrs as on 01/12/06
• Qualification : (i) Passed 8th standard.
  (ii) Must possess a qualifying licence for driving Cars and/ or vehicles with at least three years driving experience. Knowledge of the working of an automobile minor repair.
