Recruitment of Assistant Commandant in Coast Guard 2006


Applications are invited from male candidates to join as Assistant Commandant in General Duty, General Duty (Pilot) and Technical Branches for 02/2007 batch

The Indian Coast Guard, an armed force of the Union, offers a challanging and inspiring career as Group 'A' Gazetted Offices in the pay scale of Rs.8000-13500. Applications are invited from Indian Citizens for the following posts:
  1. Assistant Commandant (General Duty and General Duty - Pilot) - 40 posts (SC-06,ST-03,OBC-11,Gen-20)
    • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in any discipline of a recognised university with Mathematics and Physics subjects up to 12th Std. For pilot these subjects up to Graduation level
    • Age: Born between 01 July 82 and 30 June 86. For pilot - between 01 July 80 and 30 June 88
  2. Assistant Commandant (Technical) - 10 posts (SC-02,ST-01,OBC-03,Gen-04)
    • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture/ Marine/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Tele-communications and Electronics/ Design/ Production/ Aeronautical/ Control Engineering or equivalent qualification by institute recognised by AIIE or Marine Engineering graduates of IMET, Kolkata OR Certificate of Competency as 1st class Engineer of Motor ship or other similar certificates from Min. of Surface Transport, Govt. of India OR Certificate of final exam of the college of Marine engineering under the Department of surface transport, Govt. of India OR have passed section 'A' & 'B' of Institute of Engineers examination in the listed disciplines above.
    • Age: Born between 01 July 77 and 30 June 86

The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years of OBC candidates.
