Career Opportunities for Scientists in Life Sciences

Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of the Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications from Indian citizens for core scientist positions in various grades to work as independent investigators. A demonstrated record of scientific productivity in the form of recent peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals of international repute and/or internationally valid and productive patents is essential; highly motivated scientists with demonstrable independence in scientific thinking with three to five years of post-doctoral experiences will be considered. The appointment will be at any Level/ Grade from Scientist-B to F depending on the profile and suitability of the incumbent. Level of appointment will be based on experience and the quality of scientific productivity. Generous start-up funds/ facilities will be provided although scientists are expected to generate extramural project-based funding.

Maximum age limit: 45 years.
