Applications in prescribed proforma, in sealed covers, are invited for the following posts so as to the reach the Secretary Himachal Pradesh, Subordinate Services Selection Board, Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh) - 177001 by 14/08/2007. The last date for the candidates residing in Lahaul Spiti, Kinnaur, Pangi and Bharmaur Sub-Divisions of Chamba district and Dodra kwar Sub-Divison of Shimla District of HP is 29/08/2007 by post only.

(1) Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board

• Jr. Engineer (Electrical) : 77 posts (Electrical - 62, Electronic/Electronics and Communication-05, Computer Science-10) , Pay Scale : Rs.6300-10700/-
• Qualification : Matriculation with Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Electronics and Communication / Computer Science Engineering from recognised Institutions/ Board/ University.

(2) Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board

• Junior Engineer (Civil/Mechanical) : 30 posts (Civil-22, Mechanical-08), Pay Scale : Rs.6300-10700/-, Qualification : Matriculation with Diploma in Civil/Mechanical from recognised Insitutions/ Board/ University

(3) Department of Lokayukta, Himachal Pradesh

• Jr. Scale Stenographer : 02 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.4020-6200 + 150 Allowance, Qualification : Should have passed Matriculation Examination in 2nd division or 10+2 Examination or its equivalent from the Board/ University recognised by HP/Central Govt. (ii) Must posses the following speed in shorthand and typewriting in both language i.e. English and Hindi at the time of initial recruitment - Shorthand - English - 80 WPM / Hindi 70 WPM, Typewriting - English - 40 WPM/ Hindi 30 WPM
• Desirable : Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of HP and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

Age Limit : between 10 to 45 years as on 01/01/2007. Relaxation in age to the reserved categories shall be available as per rules/orders of the HP Govt.

Fee : in the form od DD/IPO drawn in favour of the Secretary, HP Subordinate Services Selection Board payable at Hamirpur

1. General : Rs.100/-
2. General Ex-Serviceman released on request : Rs.100/-
3. SC/ST/OBC Ward of Freedom Fighter/IRDP/Ward of Ex-Serviceman categories : Rs.25/-
4. Visually Handicapped, Ex-serviceman if retired after completion of normal tenure : No Fee

Method of Selection :

• Junior Engineer : Objectivie type test containing syllabus of Diploma engineering of 150 marks and General English, Hindi of Matric standard and GK of 50 marks and Interview of 30 marks
• Jr. Scale Stenographer : Objective type test consisting of General English and General Hindi of Matriculation Standard and also of GK of 100 marks, skill test in shorthand and typewriting in prescribed speed in both language of 100 marks

The candidate must apply in the prescribed application form costing Rs.20/- obtainable from the Post Offices/Sub-Post Offices and authorised Sale Agents situated at various district headquarter and towns of HP. Separate application form should be used for each post and only one application may be sent in one envelope.
