UPSC invites application on prescribed forms by 1st November 2007 (8th October 2007 for the candidates from far flung areas) for various posts in various Government of India Ministries and Departments in the prescribed format. The post are :
  1. Two Scientists-SB (Physical - Civil) in the National Test House, Department of Consumer Affairs, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 8000-13500/-, Qualification: Master's Degree in Physics/ (Pure/Applied) or Chemistry (Pure/Applied/industrial) or Degree in Chemical Technology/ Civil Engineering of a recognised University or equivalent, Experience : 3 years practical experience of testing and evaluation of building materials employing physical methods of analysis, Age : 35 years
  2. One Scientific Officer (Chemistry) in Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia in Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory, Ghaziabad, Department of AYUSH in Health & F.W. Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/-, Qualification : M.Sc. Degree in Chemistry from a recognised University or equivalent ., Experience : 3 years experience of drug analysis involving use of modern scientific instruments., Age : 35 years
  3. Two Assistant Director of Training (Computer Science Engineering) under Directorate General of Employment and Training (SC-1), Labour & Employment Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 8000-13500/-, Qualification: Degree in Computer Science Engineering/Technology from a recognised University or equivalent, Experience : Two years' Industrial experience in Software development/computer application., Age : 35 years
  4. One Assistant Director (Safety) in the Directorate General Factory of Employment and Training (SC-1), Labour & Employment Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 8000-13500/-, Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University or equivalent, Experience : Two years' practical experience in handling various aspects of industrial safety in a factory, dock, ship or a technical institution/organisation., Age : 35 years
  5. One Senior Assistant Controller of Mines in Indian Bureau of Mines, Mines Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 10000-15200/-, Qualification: Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent., Experience : Five years experience in Supervisory capacity in Metalliferious Mines or a Government Department dealing with Metalliferious Mines., Age : 40 years
  6. Four Junior Scientific Officers (Psychology) (PH-1) in Indian Railways, Railway Service, Railway Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs. 7500-12000/-, Qualification: Master's Degree in Psychology from a recognised university or equivalent, Exp.: Two years' practical experience in Psychology or administration of intelligence aptitude and personality test including experience in occupational counseling and selection of candidates for job allocation and placement., Age : 30 years
  7. One Deputy Director (Weaving) in the Office of Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Textiles Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs.10000-15200/-, Qualification : Degree in Textile Technology of a recognised university or equivalent. OR diploma in Handloom Technology of a recognised institution or equivalent, Experience : 7 year's experience (9 years' in the case of Diploma holder) in a textile weaving production establishment or institute out of which at least 2 years should have been in Handlooms., Age : 40 years.
  8. One Deputy Director (Processing) in the Office of Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Textiles Ministry, Pay Scale : Rs.10000-15200/-, Qualification : Degree in Textile Chemistry or Chemical Technology of a recognised university or equivalent. OR diploma in Handloom Technology of a recognised institution or equivalent, Experience : 7 year's experience in a responsible capacity as a Dyer, Bleacher or Finisher in a Textile processing factory or Establishment or Institute., Age : 40 years
  9. One Senior Lecturer-cum-epidemiologist (Community Medicine) in the Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh, Department of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh Administration, Pay Scale : Rs.14300-18150/- + NPA, Qualification : A recognised Medical Degree (ii) M.D. (Social and Preventive Medicine) / MD (Community Medicine) from a recognised university, Experience : 3 years' teaching experience., Age : 50 years
  10. One Medical Officer (Ayurveda) in the Directorate of Medical and Health service, UT Administration of Daman & DIU, Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/- + NPA, Qualification : A Degree in Ayurveda of a recognised University/statutory State Board/ Council/ Faculty of Indian Medicine or equivalent recognised under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act., 1970. (ii) Enrolment of the Central or State Register of Indian Medicine., Age : 35 years
  11. One Specialist Grade-II (Junior Scale) in Psychiatry, Health Department, UT of Puducherry, Pay Scale : Rs.10000-15200/-, Qualification : (i) A Recognised Medical qualification (ii) Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned speciality i.e. MD (Psychiatry), MD (Psychological Medicineurology (USA), DPM of two years course, Diploma in Psychiatry (Edin) of two years course, Diploma in Psyciatry (MC Gill) University, Montreal, Canada of two years course or DPM (one year course) or equivalent, Experience : 3 years' experience in the concerned speciality after obtaining Post-Graduate Degree or five years' experience after obtaining he Post-Graduate Diploma., Age : 45 years
