Sikkim University, a Central university, loking for dynamic and forward looking scholars as faculty members in its Master Programme in the rank of Assistant Professor in the following disciplines on contract basis/deputation :

1. Sociology (School of Social Science)
2. International Politics/ Relations (School of Global Studies)
3. Conflict Studies & Management (School of Peace, Conflict & human Secuirty Studies)
4. Microbiology (School of Life Sciences)
5. Food Science & Nutrition (School of Indegenous & Folk Studies)

Qualification : For 1 & 2 : Good Academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade at Master's degree level in the relevant subject. For Sr. no. 3 : Good academic record in Social Science with adequate knowledge and exposure to conflict Studies Programme. For Sr. No. 4 : M.Sc. in Microbiology/Life Sciences with research experience in Microbiology. For Sr. 5 : M.Sc./M.Tech. in Food Scinece or Technology/ Life Science with research experience in Food Sciences. NEt shall remain the compulasary requirement for appointment. However, Ph.D. degree holders in the concerned subject are exempted from NET.

Pay : As per UGC scale.

Tenure : 01 year but likely to contine.

Professors/ Associate Professors from other universities/college are also welcome for the above subjects for on deputation basis. Retired Professors/ Associate Professors can also apply.
