Applications are invited from male and female Indian Citizen for grant of Permanent/ Short Service Commission in Ground Duty branches of the Indian Air Force for the following courses for which training eill commence in July 2009.
- 126 Ground Duty Officers' Course (Permanent Commission for Men)
- 19 Short Service Commission (SSC) Course for Men
- 35 Short Service Commission (SSC) Course for Women
Last date of receipt of application: 13th October 2008
Qualificaitons :
- Administration & Logistics : Graduation or Post Graduation in Art, Science, Commerce / Management / Engineering or LLB with 60% & above for Graudates and Min. 50% or more for Post Graduate.
- Accounts : Graduation or PG in Commerce or ICWA or CA with B.Com/M.Com. with 60% & above for Graudates and Min. 50% or more for Post Graduate/ CA/ ICWA
- Meteorology : PG in Science, Geography or MCA (Physics and Maths should be at Graduate level) with 50% marks.
- Education : PG in English / Defence Studies / Psychology / Maths/ Physics / Statistics / Computer Science / Management OR M.Ed. after PG OR Ph.D. in the above said subjects with 50% marks.
Age :
- Graduate : 20 to 23 years
- Post Graduate or LLB (five years integrated course) : 20 to 25 years
- LLB (3 years duration)/ M.Ed./ Ph.D. : 20 to 26 years

Selection Procedure : Common entrance Test (CET) at the centres mentioned below on 30th November, 2008. The test will have objective and descriptive test items to test the knowledge in English and General Awareness.
