RAC INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR ENTRY INTO DRDS AS SCIENTIST-‘B’ IN THE SCALE: Rs.8000-275-13500 THROUGH DRDO SCIENTIST ENTRY TEST (DRDO SET) - 2007

THE REQUIREMENT OF 50 SCIENTISTS ‘B’ FOR ADA WOULD ALSO BE MET BY THIS RECRUITMENT OF SCIENTISTS THROUGH SET-2007.

Subjectwise Vacancies in DRDO:

• Mechanical Engineering : 110 posts (UR-57, OBC-29, SC-16, ST-08)
• Electronics & Comm. Engineering : 180 posts (UR-90, OBC-49, SC-27, ST-14)
• Electrical Engg. : 30 posts (UR-15, OBC-08, SC-05, ST-02)
• Computer Science & Engineering : 100 posts (UR-51, OBC-27, SC-14, ST-08)
• Physics : 30 posts (UR-15, OBC-08 , SC-05 , ST-02)
• Chemistry : 30 posts (UR-15, OBC-08 , SC-05 , ST-02)
• Metallurgical Engg. : 20 posts (UR-09, OBC-06 , SC-03 , ST-02)

Subjectwise Vacancies in ADA:

• Mechanical Engineering : 25 posts (UR-13, OBC-08, SC-02, ST-02)
• Electronics & Comm. Engineering : 20 posts (UR-10, OBC-06, SC-03, ST-01)
• Computer Science & Engineering : 05 posts (UR-02, OBC-02, SC-01)

Qualification : At least first class Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics & Communication Engg/ Mechanical Engg/ Computer Science & Engg/ Electrical Engg./ Metallurgical Engg. or first class Master’s Degree in Science in Chemistry/ Physics from a recognized University or equivalent in respective/ relevant discipline.

Age Limit : The upper age limit is 28 years for DRDO and 30 years for ADA (as on 31st May 2007). It is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/HH/OH candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them as per rules in vogue.

Application Form : After ensuring that the above eligibility conditions are satisfied, candidates are required to apply in the Electronically Scannable Application Form specified for DRDO SET - 2007. These application forms with the information brochure containing the syllabus and instructions for filling the application will be available at the designated Branches of State Bank of India from 1st May 2007 to 31st May 2007 to General/OBC candidates on payment of Rs. 300/- (Rs. 100/-for the application form with information brochure and Rs. 200/- as Exam. fees). For SC/ST candidates there is no Exam fees and the application form with information brochure will be available to such candidates on payment of Rs 100/- only. Forms purchased from the designated Branches of State Bank of India should be filled in accordance with the instructions given in information brochure. The filled in application forms should be sent/submitted to The Director, Recruitment & Assessment Centre, Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi – 110054 latest by 31st May 2007.
