Union Public Service Commission

UPSC invites applicaiton on prescribed forms by 3rd May 2007 (10th May 2007 for the candidates from far flung areas) for various posts in various Government of India Ministries and Departments in the prescribed format. The post are :

1. Nine Administrative Officers, Grade-II in the Indian Navy in Ministry of Defence, integrated Head Quarters. Pay Scale : Rs. 6500-10500, Qualification: (i) Degree of a recognsied University or equivalent (ii) Post Gradute Diploma in Personnel Management or Human Resource Management from a recognsied University or Institution or equivalent, Desirable : 'O' level Diploma from Directorate of Electronics Accredited Computer Course or any other recognised University or Institute or equivalent., Age : 30 years
2. One Training Officer (Architectural Assistantship) under Women Vocational Training Programme, Directorate General of Employment & Training , Ministry of Labour & Employment. Pay Scale : Rs. 6500-10500 Qualification: Degree in Architecture of a recognised University/ Instt. or equivalent. Age : 30 yrs, Experience : Two years' relevant exp. in Industry/Training in the field after acquiring qualification including experience in the area of Training of Trainers., Desirable : Teachers' Training Diploma from Technical Teachers' Training Institute under the Ministry of Human Resources OR Instructor Training Certificate from Advances Training Institute/ National Vocational Training Institute for Women/ Regional Vocational Training Institute for women under the DGET, Min. of Labour.
3. Twenty Assistant Directors Grade-II (Economic Investigation) in Small Industries Development Organisation, Ministry of Samll Scale Industries. Pay Scale : Rs. 6500-10500 Qualification: Master's Degree in Economics from a recognised University or equivalent. Experience : Two year's experience in conducting and guiding investigation or surveys and research relating to Small Sclae Industries., Age : 30 yrs, Desirable : Experience of handling economic data pertaining to and knowledge of problems relating to Small Scale Industries and/or other industries. (ii) Basic knowledge of computers application currently used software/ packages for officers.
4. One Assistant Directors Grade-I (Non-Technical) in the office of the Textile Commissioner, Mumbai, Ministry of Textiles. Pay Scale : Rs. 8000-13500 Qualification: Degree from a recognised University or equivalent. Experience : Five year's experience in a responsible capacity of work connected with Handlooms or Textile Industry or Commerce or Industry in general together with some Secretariat or Organisation/ Administrative experience., Age : 38 yrs
5. Two Sr. Lecturers/ General Medicine in the Govt. Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh, Department of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh Administration. Pay Scale : Rs. 14300-18150 + NPA Qualification: (i) a recognised Med. qualification (ii) M.D (Medicine) / M.D.(General Medicine) from a recognsied University/ Institutions. Age : 50 yrs, Experience : three years teaching after aquiring first Post Graduate qualification as Lecturer/ Registrar / Senior Resident / Demonstrator/ Tutor in a recognised Medical College/ Teaching Institution.
6. One Sr. Lecturer ( Obst. & Gynae) in the Govt. Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh, Department of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh Administration. Pay Scale : Rs. 14300-18150 + NPA Qualification: (i) a recognised Med. qualification (ii) M.D (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) / M.S.(Obstetrics & Gynaecology) from a recognsied University/ Institutions or equivalent. Age : 50 yrs, Experience : three years teaching after aquiring first Post Graduate qualification as Lecturer/ Registrar / Senior Resident / Demonstrator/ Tutor in a recognised Medical College/ Teaching Institution.
