The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) established by Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India is a premier Institute of Fashion Business Education with eight Centres located at New Delhi , Chennai, Hyderabad , Gandhinagar, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore and Rae Bareli. The Institute is having excellent facilities for Fashion Business Education and Research in Design, Management and Technology and is looking for personnel of high caliber and potential for Technical and Administrative positions in various NIFT Centres.

Following posts to be filled on regular and contract basis

1. Asst. Board Secretary cum Legal Officer : 01 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/- at Delhi
2. Steno Grade-II : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.5500-9000/- at Kolkata
3. Asst. Librarian : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.5500-9000/- at New Delhi
4. Research Assistant : 62 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.5500-9000/- All NIFT Centres
5. Senior Assistant (Accounts) (Reserved for SC) : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.5500-9000/- at Chennai
6. Assistant : 07 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.4000-6000/- at Chennai, Mumbai
7. Assistant Warden : 07 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.4000-6000/- at All NIFT Centres
8. Machine Mechanic : 05 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.4000-6000/- at Bangalore , Chennai, G’nagar, Hyderabad , Kolkata, Rae Bareli
9. Steno Grade-III : 05 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.4000-6000/- at All NIFT Centres
10. Junior Assistant : 43 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.3050-4590/- at All NIFT Centres
11. Lab Assistant : 21 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.3050-4590/- at All NIFT Centres
12. Library Assistant : 05 posts, Rs.3050-4590/- at All NIFT Centres
13. Electrician : 04 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.3050-4590/- at All NIFT Centres
14. Plumber : 08 posts, Rs.3050-4590/- at All NIFT Centres
15. Driver : 11 posts, Rs.3050-4590/- at All NIFT Centres
16. Attendant : 46 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.2550-3200/- at All NIFT Centres

Fee : Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque of Rs.100/- should be drawn on UTI Bank in favour of NIFT, New Delhi payable at New Delhi . Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH category are required to submit a demand draft of Rs.50/- drawn on UTI Bank in favour of NIFT, New Delhi payable at New Delhi . Employees of NIFT are exempted from payment of examination fee.

Selection Procedure : The written test for all the posts will be based on qualifications requirement of the respective posts. The written test will be followed by Skill/Technical Test and Interview of the eligible candidates .
