Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) of DRDO invites applications from the bright & qualified scientists and technologists in the Group ‘A’ (Class – I) Defence Research and Development Services (DRDS). The candidate should possess First Class Master’s Degree in Science subjects / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology or Metallurgy for the following posts:

• Scientist ‘E’ : 1 post, Post Scale : Rs. 14300-18300/-, In the area of Mass Communication / Journalism / Marketing.
• Scientist ‘D’ : 6 posts, Post Scale : Rs. 12000-16500/-, In the areas of Human Resource Management, Finance / Costing and Material Management.
• Scientist ‘C’ : 5 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 10000-15200/-, In the varied areas of VLF, HF and VHF communication, Testing of communication and networking software, Thin fill characterization and Fabrication of porous and dense ceramic materials.
• Scientist ‘B’ : 65 posts , Pay Scale : Rs. 8000-13500/-, In the areas of Agriculture, Anthropology, Automobile / Civil / Electrical Engineering, Paint Technology, Polymer, Geology, Material Science, Naval Architecture, Telecommunication Engineering, Textile Engineering and various branches of Life Sciences viz. Microbiology, Biotechnology, Bio Medical Engg, Bio Physics, Medical Physics, Biochemistry, Entomology, Environmental Science, Food Sc. & Technology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Safety, Health Physicist, Physiology and Plant Biotechnology etc.

Age : as on 31/07/2007. Age is relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates, 5 years for PH candidates

1. Scientist B : not exceeding 28 years
2. Scientist C : not exceeding 35 years
3. Scientist E & D : not exceeding 45 years

How to Apply : neatly filled applications, typed in own handwriting or downloaded on A-4 size paper in the prescribed format accompanied with a crossed non refundable Indian Postal Order of Rs.50/- (for each post) drawn in favour of Director, RAC payable at Delhi should be sent to Director, Recruitment & Assesment Centre, Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi-110054 preferably by registered post, superscribed "Application for post of Scientist '___', Advt. No.83 item no. "__". There is not fee from SC/ST/PH candidates. Last date of receipt of completed application is 20/07/2007. For candidates from far-flung areas the last date is 31/07/2007.
