Minimum Qualifications : Ph.D. with first division at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with excellent academic record throughout. An outstanding Engineer / Technologist / Professional working in Industry who has made significant contribution to knowledge and has earned reputation but does not have Ph.D. degree or teaching experience could also be considered for appointment as faculty member on contract basis on a consolidated salary.


Pay and Experience :

  • Professor (Grade: Rs. 18400-500-22,400): Minimum of 10 years Teaching / Research / Industrial experience of which at least 5 years at the level of Associate /Assistant Professor.
  • Associate Professor (Grade: Rs. 16,400-450-20,000): Minimum of 8 years of Teaching / Research / Industrial experience of which at least 3 years at the level of Associate /Assistant Professor.
  • Assistant Professor (Grade: Rs. 12,000-420-18,300): Minimum of 3 years Teaching / Research / Industrial experience.
  • Lecturer (Grade: Rs. 10,000-325-15,200): Fresh Ph.D. in concerned subject. The Lecturer is not a regular cadre and the appointment would be made on contract for a limited period not exceeding five years.

The age of superannuation of faculty would be 65 years.
