Examination for Recruitment of Executive/ Legislative/ Committee / Protocol Officers and Research/ Reference Officers in Lok Sabha Secretariat

Applications are invited either in English or in Hindi, strictly in the prescribed format from Indian citizens for the following posts :
  1. Executive/ Legislative/ Committee/ Protocol Officer : 16 posts (UR-3, OBC-8, SC-3, ST-2), Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/-, Qualification : Master’s degree in any discipline from a recognised University OR Two-year Post Graduate Diploma in any discipline recognised by a University/ AICTE OR LL.B degree from a recognised University OR Qualified Cost Accountant/ Chartered Accountant/ Company Secretary OR Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised University with a minimum of 3 years service in the scale of pay of Rs. 7450-11500 in Lok Sabha Secretariat., Desirable: Certificate in computer course recognised by AICTE/ Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) or courses equivalent to 'O' Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC. Age Limit : 27 years.
  2. Research/ Reference Officer : 7 posts (UR-3, OBC-2, SC-1, ST-1), Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/-, Qualifications : Master’s degree in any discipline from a recognised University OR Two-year Post Graduate Diploma in any discipline recognised by a University/AICTE OR LL.B degree from a recognised University OR Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised University with a minimum of 3 years service in the scale of pay of Rs.7450-11500 in Lok Sabha Secretariat, Desirable : Certificate in computer course recognised by AICTE/ DOEACC or courses equivalent to 'O' Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC. Age Limit : 27 years.

Selection Process :

  • Preliminary Examination : The examination will consist of 150 multiple choice objective type questions, carrying 150 marks, to be answered in two hours. The paper will contain 75 multiple choice objective type questions (75 marks) on General Knowledge; 50 questions (50 marks) on Mental Ability, Graphs, Diagrams and simple Arithmetic; and remaining 25 questions (25 marks) on General English including usages, vocabulary corrections, synonyms, antonyms, idiomatic phrases, etc. There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
  • Personal Interview: Personal Interview will carry 150 marks. Candidates will have to qualify the Personal Interview at the requisite standards to be determined by Joint Recruitment Cell. Selection will be made on the basis of the overall performance of the candidates in the Main Examination and the Personal Interview, subject to availability of vacancies

  1. You often make errors in reporting about jobs. For example here in this exam, there is an elaborate Main exam too but you have not mentioned it!

    You are confused. When I have informed about a preliminary exam, there is bound to be a Main exam but that will be for the candidates who clear the pre-exam, so there is no point telling here. Sscondly I just inform, job seekers about a particular government job available, candidate should read complete original advertisement before applying, I can not re-print all the things.

    i want to know how long the entire process of recruitment?
    last july they advertised, now in march they will take test,then i do not know when is the mains exam and when the fianl result will be out?
