Recruitment of Scientific Staff

National Institute of Rock Mechanics (NIRM) is a premier research institute in the area of rock engineering. NIRM is looking for SCIENTISTS in the Grade I, II & III and Administrative Staff on regular appointment/deputation as detailed below :

1. Scientist-I : 22 Posts, Pay Scale : Rs.8000-275-13500/-, Qualifications : 1st Class BE in Mining/ Civil/ Geotechnical/ Environmental Engineering or equivalent / 1st Class M.Sc. in Geophysics/ Geology/ Applied Geology (or) 1st Class M.Tech./ ME in the above discipline(s) including Rock Mechanics.,  Age : Up to 30 years as on 1st May 2008.
2. Scientist-II : 04 Posts, Pay Scale : Rs.10000-325-15200/-, Qualifications : 1st Class BE in Mining/ Civil/ Geotechnical/ Environmental Engineering or equivalent / 1st Class M.Sc. in Geophysics/ Geology/ Applied Geology, with 5 years experience (or) 1st Class M.Tech./ ME in the above discipline(s)including Rock Mechanics with 3 years experience, Age : Up to 40 years as on 1st May 2008.
3. Scientist-III : 03 Posts, Pay Scale : Rs.12000-375-16500/-, Qualifications : 1st Class BE in Mining/ Civil/ Geotechnical/ Environmental Engineering or equivalent / 1st Class M.Sc. in Geophysics/ Geology/ Applied Geology, with 10 years experience (or) 1st Class M.Tech./ ME in the above discipline(s) including Rock Mechanics with 8 years experience, Age : Up to 45 years as on 1st May 2008.
4. Finance & Accounts Officer : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.8000-275-13500/-, Qualifications : Must be a Graduate with ACA/ ICWA/ SAS qualification, Experience : A minimum of 10 years experience., Age : Up to 45 years as on 1st May 2008.
5. Purchase & Stores Officer : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs. 8000-275-13500/-, Qualification: Graduate with a minimum of 10 years experience in Purchase/Stores, Age : Up to 45 years as on 1st May 2008.
6. Office Assistant-I (Hindi) : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs. 4000-100-6000/-, Qualifications : Graduate and should have a typing speed of 40 wpm (Hindi), Age : Up to 28 years as on 1st May 2008
