The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Engineering Services Examination (ESE), 2023 on 19th February 2023 for the recruitment of various Group-A and Group-B (approx. 337 (including PWD-11)) Sarkari Naukri Vacancy posts of Engineers in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering disciplines under Indian Engineering Service Examination 2023. (Advertisement No. 01/2023‐ENGG.)

The Engineering Services Recruitment Examination 2023 will be held at various centres across the country.

Eligibility for Engineering Services Examination 2023


  • Age: Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as of 01/01/2023. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidate must hold a degree in Engineering or equivalent OR passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of  Engineers  (India) OR passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India) OR passed Associate Membership Examination  Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India; OR passed Graduate   Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November 1959. Provided that a candidate applying for the posts of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts) and Engineer Group A in Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing/ Monitoring Organisation may possess M.Sc. Degree or it's equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject. Candidates who qualify on the results of the written part of the examination will be summoned for a personality test.
  • Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in the recruitment notice.

Application Fee


₹200/- (excepting Female/SC/ST/PwBD who are exempted from payment of fee) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash or by using the net banking facility of   State Bank of India or by using any Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card.

The online Applications can be withdrawn from 12/10/2022 to 18/10/2022 till 6.00 PM after which the link will be disabled.
