About BIS Scientist-B Recruitment 2023

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), a statutory body under the administrative control of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Govt. of India, is recruiting Engineers as Scientist-B for its organisation for the 2023 batch entry. The shortlisting of suitable candidates for Personal Interviews will be based on the valid score of GATE-2021, GATE-2022, and GATE-2023.

BIS Scientist-B Recruitment 2023 (II) Vacancies

• Scientist-B: 09 vacancies (UR-03, EWS-01, OBC-04, SC-01) (PWD-02) in various disciplines,  Pay Scale: Pay level-10 in 7th CPC ₹56100-177500, Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor’s Degree in Technology (B. Tech.) or Equivalent Degree/ Qualification to B.E or B.Tech. (as notified by Government from time to time) Or, a Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or equivalent (for Chemistry discipline only) in relevant disciplines with 60% marks. (50% marks for SC/ ST). Having a valid GATE score of 2021/2022/2023, Age: 21-30 years as of 03/11/2023.
1. Agriculture Science: 02 vacancies (UR-01, OBC-01)
2. Civil Engineering: 03 vacancies (UR-01, OBC-01, SC-01)
3. Electrical Engineering: 03 vacancies (UR-01, EWS-01, OBC-01)
