Therefore, PGCIL invites online applications in the prescribed format for recruitment of the following various Diploma Engineer Trainees basis for the year 2022.

Power Grid Diploma Engg. Trainee Recruitment 2023 Vacancies

• Diploma Trainee: 425 vacancies (UR-214, EWS-38, OBC-82, SC-67, ST-24) (PWD-32, Ex.SM-38, DEx-SM-12) in Electrical (EE), Civil (CE) and Electronics (EC) engineering disciplines, Pay: Selected candidates will be paid ₹27500/- per month as a stipend during the one-year training period. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Junior Engineer Gr-IV (S1) in the Supervisory category in the pay scale of Rs. ₹25000-3%-117500 (IDA), Age: 27 years as of 23/09/2023, Qualification: Full-Time Regular Three Years Diploma in relevant disciplines Electrical/Electronics/Civil engineering from recognized Technical Board / Institute with Minimum 70% marks

Selection Process

The selection process shall consist of Written Test (Computer Based Test) of eligible candidates. Applications of candidates shall be scrutinized based on the Job Specification, Relaxation and Concession given as per the uploaded documents.

Written Test shall be of Objective Type (each question shall have four answer options) of two hours’ duration consisting of two parts – (1.) Part-I consists of Technical Knowledge Test (TKT) with 120 questions having specific questions from respective discipline. (2.) Part-II consists of Supervisory Aptitude Test (SAT) with 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data sufficiency and interpretation, numerical ability etc.
